Harmony House Health Care Center Joins National Quality Campaign
Advancing Excellence in America’s Nursing Homes Campaign Aims at Accelerated Improvement, Resident and Staff Satisfaction
Waterloo, Iowa – Harmony House Health Care Center has joined nursing home associations, consumer advocates, and healthcare quality experts in the Advancing Excellence in America’s Nursing Homes campaign. The new national campaign is aimed at accelerating the rate of quality improvement in nursing homes across the country.
“The Advancing Excellence campaign sets goals and measures the improvements in quality that many nursing homes are already achieving,” said Dann Larmore, Harmony House Health Care Center “Voluntarily signing on to work on at least three of the eight campaign goals is an important way for us to demonstrate that high quality is a top priority.”
The campaign encourages consumer involvement as an important part of achieving success. Consumers can play an active role in the Advancing Excellence in America’s Nursing Homes campaign by visiting the web site and signing up to participate. They can also help by encouraging their local nursing homes to participate and stressing that they expect high quality care.
